Join us for an EGGsellent adventure!

Join us for a celebration of Spring! Enjoy baby animals-goats, chicks, piglets and more! Create spring farm crafts. Take a picture with the EASTER BUNNY or one of our friendly REAL BUNNIES! We’ll have pony rides, horseback rides, our little farm train, and wagon rides to enjoy the farm! The GIANT SLIDE will be open! Try Out Archery or Axe Throwing!

WE WILL SELL ONSITE FOR ANY HUNTS THAT ARE NOT SOLD OUT. ADULTS DO NOT NEED EGG HUNT TICKETS.

Each hunt is divided into FOUR age/ability groups:

EASY - Ages 3 and under. Eggs for all! Hidden in plain sight. An adult must accompany children for entire hunt.
MEDIUM -Ages 4-7 Partially hidden eggs, some obvious some less obvious. An adult must accompany children for entire hunt. Meant to encourage some looking but reward all hunters.
MEDIUM/DIFFICULT - Ages 8-10 Mostly hidden eggs with some giveaways. An adult must accompany children for entire hunt. Meant to challenge older children while still rewarding all hunters.
CHALLENGE COURSE for kids over 11 or any kid who wants an extra challenge! More of an obstacle course for the kids who have basically outgrown the simple hunt but still want a good challenge! Obstacles with actually hidden eggs. Adults accompany children to the hunt and then watch it unfold (no helping)! Eggs for all, but it won’t be easy!
ADULTS may accompany children at no cost. Adults do not need reservations to accompany their children to the egg hunt.

Full Day Wristband $55 - Same Family Add-on Full Day Wristband $45

Full Day Wristband includes one egg hunt at 10am, 12pm, or 2pm. Unlimited Farm Visits, Unlimited Giant Straw Bale Maze, Unlimited Giant Slide, Wagon Ride, and Farm Train Ride. Plus choose three activities from this list: Pony Carousel Ride (1 yr to 80lbs), Pony Experience (2 yrs to 80lbs), Horse Ride Arena (4 yrs. to 225lbs.), Farm Craft, Archery, Axe Throwing, or a Print Picture with Easter Bunny.
Wristbands are geared towards children. Spectators (parents, grandparents, etc.) attend at no cost. Or two adults/teens can split a wristband.

Activities and Rides

$5 Farm Visit Visit goats, ducks, chickens, pigs, sheep, bunnies and more goats during your farm visit. Meet the cows. Also stop by to see our giant African Sulcatta Tortoise, guinea fowl, geese and peacocks. Our very friendly animals are a pleasure to visit. Many of our animals were born right on the farm and all of them live here full time. We have different breeds of goats, pot bellied pigs and various breeds of hogs, and a great variety that your family can get to know and watch grow. Purchase the Farm Visit for all visitors in your party over the age of 2 years old that want to enter the petting area (children ages 2 and under are free to enter with a paid adult. Goat milking at 10AM and Noon each Saturday and Sunday mid-April through December.
$5 Wagon Ride Enjoy a tour of the whole farm by taking a ride on our Wagon. Pulled by TRACTOR this ride gives the whole family an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and see the nooks and crannies of the farm. Suitable for all ages and sizes. Children under 2 ride free with adult.
$10 Farm Train Super cute FARM TRAIN with three barrel cars...pig, horse and cow! This is great for our youngest friends from toddlers on up to whenever they think they are too old for it! Adults may accompany their little ones at no extra charge.
$5-$10 Farm Crafts Ever changing rotation of fabulous and fun farm crafts. Horseshoe decorating, candle making, sand art, wood crafting, leather stamping! Changes seasonally, always fun!
$10 Giant Slide! Best for ages 4 and up, this fabulously fun slide is an adventure. Wristband is good for all day, so go and go and go and go!
$5 Straw Bale Maze Explore this adventure over and over again! The $7 includes a full day Wristband to play the day away in the maze.

Horse & Pony Rides

$10 Pony Carousel. Enjoy a traditional pony ride under our red canopy! This is perfect for children that are over 1 year old and able to sit independently up to 80 pounds. It is a seat belted ride on a traditional pony carousel.
$10 Pony Experience. Our newest pony ride takes your more adventurous little one around a longer track wearing a cowboy hat helmet! Photo option available!
$15 Arena Horseback Ride. This is a full size horse ride for children and adults ages 4 and up to 225 pounds. This is a hand led horse ride in our round arena that is great for bigger kids who do not need the seatbelt!
$25 Farm Walk Horseback Ride. This is a hand led horse ride around the farm. It is a bigger adventure for our more confident children age 5 and up all the way to less experienced adults who weigh less than 225 pounds. This is about a 15-20 minute ride.

The Range at Gilchrist Farm

$15 Archery Learn to shoot archery or practice what you already know! Our safely run range gives you the chance to try your hand! We provide all of the equipment. Best for guests over the age of 7.
$15 Axe Throwing Try your hand at this traditional sport! Hurl axes at wooden targets to test your accuracy and strength. So.Much.Fun. Great for adults and children strong enough to throw! Usually age 10 and over.
$25 Archery/Axe Throwing COMBO-The best of both worlds! A session of archery and a session of axe throwing!

Gilchrist Farm Mining Company

Adventure back in time to The Gilchrist Farm Mining Company to try your hand at prospecting for gems, minerals, fossils and FUN!!!! Enter history to discover gems like amethyst, quartz, pyrite, and maybe even find fossils or an arrowhead! Each bag of mining rough contains a wonderful mix of gems and fun! Sift, sort and marvel at your discovery!

Or, strike it rich with an authentic gold panning experience! Pan for gold, sift through the sand, and take home a vile with some real gold flakes!

The Pioneer Arts are alive at the Gilchrist Farm Mining Company. Try hand dipping candles, spinning wool and more!

How does this event work?

· Spring Fling is a family event where kids can enjoy activities at the farm, visit and take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and participate in a giant egg hunt! There is no charge for entry or parking. You can purchase the egg hunt and activities individually or as a package deal by purchasing a full day wristband.

WEATHER

In SEVERE weather, we will close the farm. In moderate rain, we will remain open with some activities closing as needed (horses/ponies/archery/slide all close in the rain). Egg Hunts will be held in light rain, cancelled/rescheduled in a long downpour. Pre-purchased tickets may be used any future date (for egg hunts or other activities).

How can I participate in the Egg Hunt?

· There are two ways to enjoy an egg hunt.

1. Purchase a $5 ticket to one of our designated time slots; 10AM, 12PM, or 2PM. At each of the tree times, there will be four egg hunts; 3 and under, 4-7 yrs., 8-10 yrs., or 11 yrs. and up (includes an obstacle course). Just choose one of the three times slots and the age group for the egg hunter. Plan to have an adult with each child in the younger age groups. Allow plenty of time ahead of the egg hunt to purchase tickets or check in.

2. Purchase a $55 Full Day Wristband which includes an egg hunt. (Same family add-on Full Day Wristband $45.) The Full Day Wristband includes unlimited access to the farm animal visit, the giant straw bale maze, and the giant slide. Also enjoy a wagon ride (family ride) and a farm train ride (kiddie ride). In addition, choose three activities from this list; archery, axe throwing, pony carousel ride, pony ride in an arena, horse ride in an arena, a farm craft, or a print picture with the Easter Bunny. Those 3 choices can be duplicated (ride the pony twice for example) or shared with other family members. PLUS: choose the time and age group for your egg hunter!

Do adults need tickets?

· Adults do not need tickets for the Spring Fling. The only time an adult will need a ticket is if they would like to do an activity from our a la carte menu such as a wagon ride, farm animal visit, archery, axe throwing…

How many Full Day Wristbands should I buy?

· Full Day Wristbands ($55 each) are geared towards children. Parents or spectators attend at no cost. You should buy a Full Day Wristband for each child attending if you intend on doing a variety of activities and want your child to participate in one of our egg hunts. (Egg hunts are sold separately for $5 each child if you only want to do an egg hunt.) Children as young as one can enjoy the perks of the wristband. Here’s how… two chaperones are included in the wristband; therefore, little one and two chaperones can get into the farm animal visit, wonder through the giant maze, ride the wagon, and ride the farm train (one parent can tag along to hold your little one). With the 3 additional choices, little one can ride the pony carousel and mom or dad can try archery or axe throwing or even a horse ride. The choice is yours!

Are reservations required?

· No. Tickets can be bought online or at the farm. We offer a Full Day Wristband to enjoy a variety of activities at the farm (including the egg hunt) or buy tickets a la carte. Make sure to arrive with plenty of time to find parking (free), get tickets, and get in line for the egg hunt. Egg hunts are at 10AM, 12PM, and 2PM. You should by in line about 15 mins prior to egg hunt time.

Can I change my online booking date and time?

· Yes, we know things happen. If you need to change the date and time of your online booking, please contact us at info@gilchristfarm.com or see your booking confirmation

When will I receive my online booking confirmation?

· You will receive your booking confirmation upon completion of your online booking purchase. You will also receive a booking reminder 48 hours before the scheduled event/activity. If you request a change of date and/or time, you will receive a rescheduled event/activity email immediately upon the change being made by our tech support team. Finally, you will receive a follow up email 48 hours after the event/activity took place. Feel free to answer and provide feedback.

Can I bring my pet?

· No. Pets, including dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, etc. can not enjoy the farm with you. Only certified service dogs may accompany you.

What time/day/year is the event?

· 2024 Spring Fling is March 16,17, 23, 24 and April 6th & 7th from 9AM – 4PM . WE ARE CLOSED ON EASTER SUNDAY, MARCH 31. CLOSED MARCH 30 DUE TO RAIN.

· Yes. We accept Credit Cards, Cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Zelle.
